Researching costume in Post-apocalypse films

This morning I am going to look at costume in; "The Book of Eli". The film is set in the future after nuclear war.

The costume in the scene is very poor looking and quite trampy. This is because everything has been blown up in the war. The costume can make it look old fashioned such as the 19th century, but some props so that it is futuristic, for example, the goggles the man wears.
